Marinated Chicken In The Air Fryer
Let’s cook marinated chicken in the air fryer. We have put together 7 different, yet all delicious marinades for the air fryer that are perfect for any protein (not just chicken).
You can start with air fryer marinated chicken breast and then expand to salmon, other types of chicken, or even try it with vegetables or tofu. Just use these marinades as your starting point.

- Paper Liners or Foil Tray
Ingredients
- 4 Medium Chicken Breasts
1 – Coriander/Cilantro Lime
- 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Clear Honey
- 1 Tsp Garlic Purée
- 2 Tbsp Finely Chopped Fresh Coriander/Cilantro
- Salt & Pepper
2 – Curry Yoghurt
- 1 Tsp Garlic Purée
- 1 Tsp Ginger Puree
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 Tbsp Greek Yoghurt
- 2 Tsp Mild Curry Powder
- 1 Tsp Ground Turmeric
- 1 Tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 Tsp Dried Coriander/Cilantro Leaf
- Salt & Pepper
3 – Greek Kebabs
- 2 Tsp Garlic Purée
- 1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Greek Yoghurt
- 2 Tsp Dried Oregano
- Salt & Pepper
4 – Hawaiian Summer
- 2 Tbsp Pineapple Juice
- 2 Tbsp Barbecue Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- Juice and Finely Grated Zest of 1 Lime
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Tsp Garlic Purée
- 1 Tsp Ginger Purée
- 1 Tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika
- Salt & Pepper
5 – Honey & Garlic
- 1 Tbsp White Wine Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Tsp Garlic Purée
- 100 g / 3½ oz / ⅓ cup Clear Honey
- ¼ Tsp Dried Parsley
- Salt & Pepper
6 – Moroccan Spice
- 1 Tsp Garlic Purée
- 1 Tsp Ginger Purée
- 2 Tsp Tomato Purée/Paste
- 1 Tsp Harissa Paste
- 4 Tbsp Passata
- 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Tsp Dried Coriander/Cilantro Leaf
- 1 Tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika
- ¼ Tsp Ground Cinnamon
- Salt & Pepper
7 – Sweet Chilli
- 240 g / 8½ oz / ¾ Cup Sweet Chilli Sauce
- 1 Tsp Garlic Purée
- 1 Tsp Ginger Purée
- 2 Tsp Soy Sauce
- ¼ Red Bell Pepper/Capsicum, Finely Chopped
- ½ Tsp Chinese 5-Spice Powder
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions
- Use the ingredients from the chicken section and mix with 1 marinade. Or you can make 7* the marinades and then mix and match with 7* lots of protein.
- Bagging. If using a bag holder and zip loc bags place the marinade into the bag, shake it all about and seal. If saving for the freezer, label it up and freeze it flat.
- If preparing in the foil tray, add the marinade, mix in the chicken ingredients, fridge or freeze for later and then air fry when ready.
- If using the zip loc method, transfer the contents of the bag to a paper liner and air fry. Or if using the tray containers, when ready transfer to the air fryer.
- To air fry, set the temperature to 180c/360f and air fry for 15 minutes for small breasts, 20 minutes for medium and 25 minutes for large.
- Always perform an internal temperature of the chicken at the thickest part and make sure its 70c/160f or above before serving.
- Then slice your chicken and its ready for enjoying.
