Okay so I am sure you want to know what’s in it for you and what is so special about this pressure cooker cookbook.

2026 will be 10 years since we got our first instant pot pressure cooker. We feel like it has grown with us as a family. Sofia was just 2 when we got our first instant pot, and yet here she is heading to big school as a confident, pressure cooker loving, 12-year-old. We have learnt so much in the last 10 years about pressure cooking. We have had our ups and downs and there has been some mistakes along the way. Now we have put pen to paper and shared all our great tips, tricks, hacks and of course no fail recipes.

124 Easy Everyday Recipes & Key Techniques

  • 120+ Recipes – Most cookbooks give you 80-100 recipes and include a lot of personal photos of the author or their pets! We cut out on the fluff to bring you as many recipes as we can fit within the 224 pages. My lovely publisher did the final count and there are exactly 124 recipes for you to choose from.
  • 110 Core Recipes – These are how many actual recipes there are with an ingredients list, a full recipe method and most have photographs too.
  • 14 Recipe Variations – These are what I call “variations” and are recipe ideas using the core recipes. How to make a delicious Italian pasta recipe into a famous Mexican dish using similar ingredients is just one of 14 of these featured.
  • Super Easy – Just like our other cookbooks we want to make sure the recipes are easy for you to recreate at home. All the recipes in this book I would consider super easy and beginner friendly. Many of which our children helped us create and have been cooking in the pressure cooker for years.
  • Everyday Recipes – An important factor was everyday recipes. It’s amazing how many of the recipes featured in the cookbook you would want on repeat every day. We have soups, we have stews, we have rice and pasta dishes, we have salads, we have cooking a whole chicken from frozen or thawed, we have beef pot roast. There is literally something for everyone. You will love your weekends too thanks to the curry night fakeaway with all the sides, Saturday night chicken fajitas sharing board, the jam you can make yourself for breakfast on a Sunday, to the gammon and banoffee pies for Sunday dinner.
  • Techniques – When you buy a pressure cooker it’s important that you learn the techniques first. That you understand the process of pressure-cooking fish for the first time, making your rice with just the right amount of liquid to learning the perfect cooking time for a whole chicken. This is done with step by step photos and in depth information, before you dive into the rest of the chapter. We have step by step techniques for most of the chapters of the cookbook.

15 Reasons Why We Recommend Pre-Ordering The Complete Pressure Cooker Cookbook

Made by a team of experts – Not only do you have us with our 10 years of instant pot pressure cooking experience and 7 years of Ninja Foodi experience, but you have our team too. Chef Dom for proper chef experience as many kitchen gadget cookbooks don’t have a chef involved. Then from our publishing team we have a team that have a wealth of experience in cookbooks to bring you the best. We also have a nutritionist to make sure the calories you see in the book are accurate.

How To – It teaches you how to use your new pressure cooker not just jumping straight into the recipes. Just like our previous 3 cookbooks its all about learning how to use your gadgets. We want you to be confident using them and not just throw you in at the deep end.

Duo Friendly – All the recipes in this book are tested with the Instant Pot Duo & Ninja Foodi. No worrying that you need an upgraded function as this one is all about learning the basics of pressure cooking.

Everyday Ingredients – Because we have readers from around the world (the UK, USA, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, Europe and Asia to name a few) we are on a mission to make sure the ingredients are everyday ones that anyone can get. No weird foods that you can only get at a health shop or on Amazon. Just everyday foods that we often buy every single week.

Budget Friendly – I don’t want you to break the bank when you are cooking our recipes from our books. Just like we didn’t when we were testing the recipes and buying in ingredients. We use a lot of everyday ingredients that are easy to keep your grocery bill down. Plus, with the recipe tips you can stretch the food even further.

Stacked – Because you don’t want to just cook the rice (you want to cook the chicken too) we have a full chapter dedicated to stacking food in the pressure cooker. Cooking multiple layers of food all at the same time. We include greats such as beef stroganoff and mushroom rice using this method.

Batch Cooking – We have a delicious cook once eat twice chapter with lots of greats you can batch cook. Such as Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken casserole and dumplings, beef steamed pudding, fish pie and many more.

Popular Recipes – We don’t have any weird recipes just recipes you consistently ask us for.  From boiled eggs to whole chicken to yoghurt to pulled pork to pork ribs to curry to fish to beans and lentils we have it all.

Healthy Too – Are you on a diet or maybe you like to watch what you eat? Every recipe in the book includes calorie counts. We also have many recipes that are perfect for a healthy lifestyle too including bean salads, salmon grain bowl, soups, curried lentils, and even steel cut oatmeal.

Charts – We have also included time and release and liquid amounts for various foods throughout the book. On the rice and pasta pages for example, we have the time and pressure release for other rice and pasta ingredients, in case you fancy switching it up with other ingredients you have in.

Tip Boxes – The tip boxes are also back by popular demand. Where we give you lots more ideas with your recipes so that you can make them work for you. Along with top tips and tricks it will have you thinking outside the box and really planning what you’re going to cook.

Experts – We have been using air fryers since 2012, pressure cooking since 2016, multi-cooking since 2019 and have had years of practice ourselves using these gadgets before passing on our best knowledge to you.

Metric & Imperial – All our recipes include metric and imperial measurements as well as Celsius and Fahrenheit. We also mention ingredients by their different names where appropriate. For example, double cream also mentions heavy cream and thickened cream which is what it is called in the UK, USA and Australia. The same with foods like peppers, and certain sugars. Below is an example of an ingredients list and how we share metric and imperial.

Variations – I love our plan B that we have had in our first three books and now in this one too. Where we give you ideas of how you can mix up the recipe and turn it into something fresh. These variations are also amazing for taking the boring out of your mealtimes.

The Complete Pressure Cooker Cookbook Chapters

contents from the complete pressure cooker cookbook

How To – We kickstart our pressure cooker cookbook with our how-to chapter. It is loaded with useful information to get to know your instant pot, or other brand of electric pressure cooker. We will run you through zero-minute cooking times, the water test, how to clean your pressure cooker, all your questions and so much more.

Eggs – We have a wonderful chapter dedicated to eggs. Egg hacks, the perfect boiled eggs, egg bites and such like are all included.

Breakfast – Lets make breakfast together. We have homemade jam, delicious porridge and homemade yoghurt.

Poultry & Meat – This is biggest chapter of the book. We have everything from a whole chicken and how to calculate its exact weight to a lamb curry with all the sides to chicken breast to frozen meat to pork ribs and pulled pork. This chapter packs a lot into it that’s for sure!

Fish & Seafood – Whilst we have a chapter dedicated to fish and seafood we also have more of it throughout the book. Dotted around chapters like the stacked and the cook once eat twice chapter. In the actual fish and seafood, we have prawns, the perfect salmon, a salmon grain bowl, fish curry, clams and much more.

Beans & Lentils – Lets transform those dried beans and dried lentils into delicious easy recipes. From black beans to mushy peas to curry to Thai lentils to take to work salads.

Pasta & Grains – We have prawn linguine, mac and cheese, brown rice, sushi and the best lasagne you have ever pressure cooked.

Soup & Sauces – A whole chapter dedicated to soup and sauces. We kickstart the chapter with a how to of making your first batch of pressure-cooked soup. Then we have a reader favourite of our chicken gnocchi soup and corn chowder. We also have some new ones such as orzo soup or harissa soup. Though our favourite bit is the sauces. Sauces you can make and have now or that you can freeze for later. Our favourite sauce is the green sauce loaded with green leafy vegetables.

Speedy Sides – We have a good mix here of side dishes that are perfect for pressure cooking. From Mexican street corn to cauliflower cheese to chorizo brussel sprouts.

Let’s Stack Dinner – This is the chapter that really makes the most out of your pressure cooker. Stacking food on top of each other. In this chapter we show you how to do a pork chops stacked dinner, the same with seabass for your all-in-one dinners. We also show you how to perfectly stack the ingredients to make an amazing beef stroganoff.

Cook Once Eat Twice – This is perfect for cooking your dinner, and then freezing the leftovers. Doubling up (sometimes tripling) to save you cooking all the time. My favourite from this chapter is the Swedish meatballs though the most requested for this book has been the mince (ground meat) and how we show you lots of different ways to batch it for the freezer.

Sweet Treats – This is where you will find your sweet tooth favourites. We have strawberry cheesecake, banoffee pies, mini cakes, rice puddings and more.

  • Which functions are used in this book? We have limited the functions used, as we wanted to make it work for those that have a simple electric pressure cooker. We use pressure cook, the yoghurt setting, and saute.
  • Are your recipes healthy? Whilst we have some amazing comforting meals in this book, we also have plenty of healthy recipes too. Our top healthy food picks include our green thai curry, take to work bean salad, homemade hummus, quick vegetables, egg bites and our various fish and vegetable recipes.
  • What about gluten free? There are many, many, gluten free recipes and many dairy free recipes too. There is also plenty for our vegetarian readers and some vegan recipes too. We are a nut free household so this book is nut free.
  • What about full dinners? The book is loaded with full dinners too. From meat, potato and veg to chicken and rice we have you covered.
  • Are there meals for one? Yes, we have several recipes that are for just one or two people, and recipes that are easy to scale up or scale down depending on how many people you are feeding. Our favourite is the tuna meal for one in the fish and seafood chapter.
  • Do you include cooking time charts? Yes, we do. We have several cook times charts throughout the cookbook that will help you with some of your favourite recipes that you want to convert to the pressure cooker. We also have lots of extra cooking times for those that want to cook different types of poultry.
  • Are they all new recipes? They are mainly new recipes, with some reader favourites included. We also have fresh takes on recipes that we have made for you before. Reader favourites include our egg loaf, corn chowder, strawberry cheesecake, and chocolate cake bites.
  • Are there recipe photos? Yes, there are plenty of gorgeous recipe photos and we also have plenty of step by step photos too. I hate recipe cookbooks when there are hardly any photos and in some cases none. You don’t have to worry about that, with most recipes featuring beautiful photos.
  • Which pressure cookers have been used in the recipe testing process? We used our Ninja Foodi 9in1, Ninja Foodi 15in1, Instant Pot Duo 6 Quart, Instant Pot Duo 8 Quart and our Instant Pot Duo Crisp.
  • Are the recipes imperial or metric? The recipes are both metric and imperial. If we did a book for each, then that would mean that in Canada they would have to share imperial with the US and this way you have the choice of both.
  • How much did you cook for this cookbook? No idea, I just know that I cooked every day for full days for a few months. Plus, we were always running several pressure cookers at the same time. Then we also had recipe testers also testing it and then during the photo shoot for the cookbook photos, then recipes will be tested again during the process. I do know that we have gone through a lot of salt and pepper and when you think most recipes call for it, then you know a lot of food has been made!
  • What happened to all the food you cooked? We ate some. The kids ate some. The recipe testers ate some. My best friend didn’t have to cook dinner for her family for a good month and probably filled her freezer too. We also repurposed some into new recipes for future recipes that is included to those that pre-order. We also ended up with several filled cupboards so didn’t need to buy any seasonings for six months.

A HUGE Thank You!

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for following Kitchen Gadget Club, printing our recipes, being part of the community and its down to YOU that we are here today celebrating the pre-orders of The Complete Pressure Cooker Cookbook.

You have been asking us for years for an Instant Pot book and we are so pleased to show off our hard work and this amazing book we have made just for you.

We would be over the moon if you could pre-order a copy and help us with our pre-orders. But why should you do that you may wonder?

It supports the authors – the more pre-orders the bigger the chance of us walking into a shop or supermarket and seeing our books on the shelves. It has this amazing power of kickstarting the sales.

You pay the best price – It’s traditional for books to be on a special deal at some point during the pre-order sales. What you pay is the lowest price its at during pre-orders. So, if it originally starts at £22, it will often reduce by 20% and sometimes all the way down to 50% off. This means that if you pre-order and its £22 and then it drops by 40% then you will get £8.80 off.

You only pay on publication – Whilst its common for authors to get the ball rolling and start prep-orders 3 months ahead of when it comes out, you don’t pay a penny or a cent until it actually gets shipped for delivery. So, pre-order in November for a book out in March and you won’t pay until March.

We have a giveaway for that – We are running several giveaways during the pre-order process, and you have the chance of winning them. We also are offering you the chance to try some of the recipes before the book is out. All these little extras that you only get if you pre order – though make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter so that you will get an email to enter the giveaway and download the extras.
