Equipment

Ingredients

  • 285 g /10oz Pak Choi/Bok Choi
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tsp Chinese Five Spice
  • 2 Large Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Cm Fresh Ginger

Instructions

  • Clean and toss the bok choy into a mixing bowl.
  • Peel and thinly dice your garlic. Peel and thickly slice your ginger cube. Add everything to the mixing bowl and toss your bok choy for a minute until it is well coated.
  • Place into the steamer basket and lower into the Instant Pot, onto the trivet. Place a cup of water at the bottom of the Instant Pot inner pot. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and cook for zero minutes on manual.
  • Serve warm with fish, chicken or tofu.

Notes

I don’t use any salt in this recipe, that is because the soy sauce gives it enough of a salt kick.
As you pour the bowl of pak choi into the steamer basket, place any spare strands of ginger and garlic on top. It will help bring out the flavour as it cooks in the pressure cooker.
