Ninja Foodi Dumplings Without Suet
How to make the most delicious and easiest ever vegetarian dumplings without suet. Perfect for adding to stews, casseroles and one pot dinners.
We first started making these when we lived in Portugal and suet was so expensive and since then they have become our go-to recipe.

Ninja Foodi Dumplings Without Suet
Equipment
- Ninja Foodi or any other air fryer
Ingredients
- 360 g /2.75 Cups Self Raising Flour/Self Rising Flour
- 55 g /0.5 Sticks Salted Butter
- 2 Large Eggs
- 125 g /1 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 4 Tbsp Skimmed Milk/Fat Free Milk
- 1 Tbsp Mixed Herbs/Italian Seasoning
- ½ Tbsp Rosemary
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions
- Place seasonings, flour and butter into a bowl and rub with your fingertips until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Crack in the eggs, add grated cheese and add milk.
- Using your hands mix until you have a soft dough. Place the dough on a floured worktop and flour your rolling pin.
- Roll out the dough and divide into 9 pieces of dough.
- Then make each piece of dough into a small to medium dough ball.
- Load into the air fryer basket and cook for 8 minutes at 180c/360f. Or 4 minutes if you are adding it to a stew.
