Ninja Foodi Dumplings Without Suet

Equipment

  • Ninja Foodi or any other air fryer

Ingredients

  • 360 g /2.75 Cups Self Raising Flour/Self Rising Flour
  • 55 g /0.5 Sticks Salted Butter
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 125 g /1 Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 4 Tbsp Skimmed Milk/Fat Free Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Mixed Herbs/Italian Seasoning
  • ½ Tbsp Rosemary
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  • Place seasonings, flour and butter into a bowl and rub with your fingertips until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
  • Crack in the eggs, add grated cheese and add milk.
  • Using your hands mix until you have a soft dough. Place the dough on a floured worktop and flour your rolling pin.
  • Roll out the dough and divide into 9 pieces of dough.
  • Then make each piece of dough into a small to medium dough ball.
  • Load into the air fryer basket and cook for 8 minutes at 180c/360f. Or 4 minutes if you are adding it to a stew.

Notes

Stew. If you would like to add your dumplings into your stew, then decrease the cook time to 4 minutes and then place in the slow cooker with the stew for the last hour of cooking.
