Air Fryer Chinese Chicken Wings

Delicious sticky Chinese chicken wings cooked in the air fryer. They are loaded with my favourite Chinese chicken seasonings and a sticky Chinese marinade. These air fryer Chinese chicken wings are prepped in a minute and then cooked until crispy and sticky in the air fryer.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 6 Medium Chicken Wings
  • 2 Tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Tsp Garlic Puree/Paste
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Chinese 5 Spice
  • Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients apart from the chicken wings to a mixing bowl and mix well with a fork or spoon. Add the chicken wings and mix with your hands until the chicken wings are coated in their Chinese chicken marinade.
  • Place the chicken wings (while still in the bowl) in the fridge for an hour to thoroughly marinade.
  • After an hour place the chicken wings into a cake pan and place in the air fryer.
  • Cook for 22 minutes at 180c/360f.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Honey. If you don’t feel that your wings are sticky enough then add extra honey to your marinade. As some soy sauce brands can be watery and it can dilute the marinade.
Amount. We cooked 6 Chinese chicken wings in the air fryer. You could double this but if you do add a couple of minutes of extra cooking time and double your marinade ingredients.
