Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 2 Frozen Beer Battered Fish Fillets
  • 450 g /1lb Frozen Chips/Chunky Fries
  • ½ 400g/14oz Can Mushy Peas

Instructions

  • Load frozen chips into the air fryer basket and air fry for 6 minutes at 180c/360f.
  • When the air fryer beeps, shake the chips, and add the fish fillets over the chips.
  • Cook for a further 18 minutes at 180c/360f or until the fish is perfectly cooked and the batter is crispy.
  • Remove the fish from the air fryer and load onto plates ready for serving.
  • Make a space in the air fryer basket for a ramekin and fill a ramekin with mushy peas. Then air fry the mushy peas and chips for a further 5 minutes at the same temperature.

Notes

Temperature. Don’t be tempted to increase the temperature up as it will make the inside of the battered fish dry out.
Gentle. Make sure you are gentle with the battered fish. Because it is battered and not breaded, its very easy for it to crumble and fall apart in the air fryer basket. When we removed the battered cod from the packaging, we had found that part of the batter had already fallen off.
