Kitchen Gadgets Club or KGC for short, is now the new home of what was Recipe This. Your kitchen gadget recipe hub loaded with hundreds and hundreds of triple tested ovenless recipes.
Recipe This was due to have its 10th birthday in November, and we felt that Recipe This didn’t represent what we were about, so we decided to change it early…..as a pre-10th birthday present.
But things are different at Kitchen Gadgets Club and this is why:
We are ad free – no more ads as you are scrolling up and down the page or in the recipe card.
The fluff is gone – no more long blog posts to satisfy Google, instead a quick introduction and then your recipe is there waiting for you. Because we don’t have to write the fluff, we can then create more recipes for you. A win-win for you.
We guarantee to be AI free – we never used AI on Recipe This and guarantee that the same applies at Kitchen Gadgets Club. We hate it when AI is used in recipes as they don’t make any sense as they have been computer generated by lots of different recipes so don’t make any sense.
It’s a membership – that means that instead of for Google its all for you. You can choose which gadgets you would like featured, what information you actually need from us and its all available to you for one small monthly fee. So, little we did the maths and it works out at less than 1 pence per recipe.
We are expanding our kitchen gadgets – After initial feedback we are already expanding into new kitchen gadgets such as the Ninja Speedi and the Ninja Foodi 15in1. Exciting times and we cant wait for what our members ask for next.
We have improved the recipe card
What we have also done (probably the most time-consuming part) is improved the recipe card section. What we didn’t like was the conversion between metric and imperial was low quality. It would not convert to cups for our American readers, so we have manually by hand worked out the cups for all the recipes on Kitchen Gadgets Club so far.
We also wanted rid of the fluff at the bottom of the recipes which we have also done.
Also, we have made sure every recipe has step by step photos and at a tick of a box you can remove the pictures for printing or keep them all. There is also the option to adjust servings and other great things.
We have made a video showing how to use all these features inside of the members area.
89 recipes and counting
The decision to move to Kitchen Gadgets Club was mainly due to the long posts expected for an ad style food blog. Back in 2015 when we started Recipe This it was around 400 words, and gradually Google has wanted more and more and now the average recipe online with ads displayed is 1500-2000 words.
Writing 1500-2000 words and doing 3 recipes a week is very time consuming and that is without the recipe testing and idea itself.
We have 89 recipes just sat there. Waiting to get attention. Photographs taken. Recipes written on scruffy pieces of paper. They just need loading into a template. It seems such a waste of all those recipes, when each recipe takes so long, they end up on the backburner.
With KGC we can clear out the backlog of recipes we made for you, create lots of new themes and because less time is spent writing up each recipe, we can make more recipes for you, more cookbooks and of course plenty more videos and podcast episodes.

Its Dom and I, along with Kyle our eldest son.
I am the voice, and the recipe writer and Dom will always be your head of anything techy, is good for 1:1 cooking advice (Ex-Chef) and Kyle is an amazing video/podcast editor.
Then we also have our little recipe testers which is Sofia & Jorge. Aged 10 and 8 they have an opinion.
Sofia wants to be a baker when she grows up and Jorge says my cooking is the BEST.
