12 Must Make Ninja Speedi Recipes From Our Ninja Speedi Recipe Book

Did you know we have a Ninja Speedi Recipe Book? It is loaded with beginner friendly ninja speedi recipes and the recipes work with other multicookers too.

What I didn’t expect is whilst making The Complete Multicooker Cookbook (which was originally aimed that those with the Ninja Foodi) to fall in love with the Ninja Speedi as much as we did. We are even planning to take it travelling with us around Europe this summer.

This multicooker cookbook should be called The Ninja Speedi and Ninja Foodi book as that’s what our vision was. Plus, those that have both a pressure cooker and an air fryer. But you can’t use trademarks, so we kept it basic to multicookers.

This has led to those with the ninja speedi asking how many recipes are in there for them just because it features pressure cooking too which the ninja speedi doesn’t do.

So, I had a look and out of 125 multicooker recipes there are:

• 32 pressure cooker recipes
• 12 pressure cook + air fry recipes (where we use both functions in one recipe)
• 2 yoghurt recipes

But many of these recipes do include a plan B beyond pressure cooking. Such as the scotch eggs can just be air fried, so can all the chicken recipes, the roasts can be swapped for slow cook or air fry, and of course any pasta or rice recipe can easily be adapted to the steam function.

It also comes with a chapter dedicated to steam meals which of course can be swapped for speedi meals.

All in all, there is a lot of Ninja Speedi recipes in this cookbook to choose from that would be perfect for the Ninja Speedi beginner and we had a plan that today we would highlight the best of them – or our personal favourites.

Mediterranean Steamed Eggs

This was the first recipe we made for the cookbook in the Ninja Speedi. Dom perfected steamed eggs which are like a fried egg just with zero oil. Then I transformed them into a baked eggs recipe loaded with veg and a delicious sauce. Perfect for a lazy weekend brunch and full of Mediterranean flavours.

Chicken Kiev & Chips

Calling all my people that love a chicken kiev this is how to make them in the air fryer. You will love Chef Doms trick for the filling so it doesn’t escape and we served them with some cajun fries.

Cheddar Cheese Chicken Thighs

This is one of my favourite ways to make breaded chicken in the Ninja Speedi. You can get the kids or the grandkids involved in this and you will love how simple this recipe is.

Katsu Chicken Curry Speedi Meal

This is a great way to make one of those all-in-one speedi meals. With rice, veg and the chicken and that famous katsu curry sauce. This was the favourite when we were making the book and the Katsu sauce is one of those that you just want to dunk your chicken in.

Steak Sharing Board

This is inspired by those steak restaurants that do those fancy all in one board for two. You know the ones. Where you get the steak, the sauces, the veg, the chips and such like. We have recreated it for the multicooker with all the sauces and it reminds me of how much I love the grill setting.

Seasoned Seabass

In the book we also share step by step photographs of making these using the Ninja Speedi with the crisp plate. We also cook it with a delicious seasoning though its easy to mix and match with what you have in.

Prawn Curry In A Hurry

I love this curry recipe and it’s a quick prep and quick cooking curry and easy to mix and match with your favourite curry paste. We even show you a trick for cooking the naan bread at the same time.

Vegetable Stew & Dumplings

This is my favourite from the vegetarian chapter and OMG so so good. A vegetable stew in a creamy sauce loaded with vegetarian dumplings. What gives this the wow factor in the Ninja Speedi though is that we slow cook the stew, then use the grill/broiler for the golden colouring on the dumplings.

Homemade Chips

Whether you have a Speedi for all its functions or are just team air fry, nothing beats the homemade chips. With a lot less oil involved they taste like they have come from the takeaway. In this book we show you how to do it with the different settings my favourite is steam air fry if you want the chippy taste or air fry if you prefer the air fryer method.

Fennel & Thyme Hasselback Carrots

This recipe works very well with either the steam air fry or the steam bake. Did you know that you have steam roast on the Ninja Foodi and its like for like to steam bake in the Speedi? These carrots are so good and are perfect for your roast dinners.

Irish Soda Bread

Swap steam bread for steam bake and make these amazing soda bread minis. They taste so good and no proving is required. Plus, the ingredients are so simple, and you are likely to have them in already.

Homemade Apple Crumble

It feels like only yesterday that I was watching the apple crumble being cooked at the photoshoot for the book. It looked so good and the smell was drifting all around the studio. But are you team custard, cream or ice cream?

My Favourite Feature Of The Complete Multicooker Cookbook

So, we have run you through our personal favourites for cooking in the Ninja Speedi from the cookery book, but I haven’t mentioned my favourite all time feature.

That is the recipes by function index just before the recipes start. This allows you to browse the recipes by function so you can just find steam recipes, steam air fry, dehydrate and such like.

Also note with a Ninja Speedi the steam bread is the same as steam bake, steam meals are the same as speedi meals, and steam roast is the same as steam bake, so don’t skip those on the index!
