Equipment

  • Electric Pressure Cooker
  • Wooden Spoon

Ingredients

  • 450 g /1lb Minced Beef/Ground Beef
  • 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Taco Seasoning
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Milk optional

Instructions

  • Place 240ml/1 cup of water into the bottom of the Pressure Cooker. Place the trivet/steamer shelf on top and rest the beef onto the shelf.
  • Place the lid on the Pressure Cooker and cook for 15 minutes on manual pressure. Use quick pressure release and using your hands grab the trivet out of the Instant Pot using the handles.
  • Drain the water from the bottom, add the olive oil and place it on sauté. Add the mince once it starts to sizzle and using a wooden spoon break down the taco meat until its fully shredded. Season well and mix a little more. If it is too dry stir in a little coconut milk.
  • Serve.

Notes

We cooked just over 450g/1lb of beef in our taco meat recipe. If you want to cook more make sure it’s portioned out into another portion and sat on the shelf side by side. Otherwise, you will need to add on extra cooking time.
