Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 Pitta Bread
  • 4 Slices Red Leicester Cheese or orange coloured cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Homemade Pizza or Pasta Sauce we use our own recipe see the notes
  • 7 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  • Using a knife or the back of a spoon spread the pizza sauce over your pitta breads.
  • Then overlap two slices of cheese onto the pizza sauce. Push down otherwise they will move around as they air fry.
  • Slice the cherry tomatoes into halves or thirds depending on how big they are. Then place them over the cheese. Sprinkle over some dried oregano.
  • Pop them into the air fryer and then air fry for 5 minutes at 160c/320f.
  • You can then either serve them as they are or slice them

Notes

I made this delicious homemade sauce that I use for both pasta and pizza recipes. My food stylist still talks about it a few years later. But I realised I had never shared it, and it was gathering dust on my laptop. I have shared it at the same time as updating this recipe and you can find it here. Or use any shop bought pizza sauce you like.
