The Complete Multicooker Cooking Guide
It was October 2024, it was publication date for The Complete Air Fryer Cooking Guide (which went on to become a Sunday Times Bestseller!!) and the emails and social media private messages all said the same.
I love your air fryer cooking guide, please make one next for my Ninja Foodi. Then the same messages again for the instant pot, the ninja speedi and the list went on.
So, we set to work, on making you a new one this time one that would cover the pressure cooker, air fryer and the multicookers that do a bit of everything.
Arranged by function as some machines have more functions than others. You can then flick to steam to steam some chicken and vegetables for lunch or go to steam roast to plan your Sunday lunch or head to air fry if you just want to quickly air fry a snack.
The main functions included are – dehydrate, grill, steam, steam air fry, steam roast, pressure cook and air fry.
Should You Air Fry, Steam Air Fry Or Steam Roast?
We have separate chapters for air fry, steam air fry and steam roast. You can use this handy ninja foodi cooking times chart to know which one is best.
Why we air fry what we do, why we steam air fry and what food we like the most with the steam roast.
We also have a handy system so that you know which foods work best with the probe if you have a Ninja Foodi 15in1.
There is also plenty of helpful tips to make it easier for you with learning how to use your multicooker.

What Foods Can You Cook With The Multicooker Cooking Guide?

Let’s take a closer look at the front cover photographs on the Multicooker Guide as they tell a fantastic story of the kinds of foods you can make with this cooking guide.
Chicken Drumsticks

These chicken drumsticks are cooked on steam air fry. You can head over to the steam air fry chapter to find the time and temps for both frozen or thawed chicken drumsticks. You can also mix and match on flavours or keep it simple with olive oil, salt and pepper.
Bangers, Mash, Peas & Gravy

That British classic of bangers (sausages), mashed potatoes, garden peas and gravy all come together with the help of this time and temp chart.
Using the chart, we go to grill for the sausages, pressure cook for the mash, pressure cook for the frozen peas and the air fryer for reheating the gravy.
Salmon & Rice

Salmon is perfect for a few different functions in the cooking guide. So it depends on how you like your salmon cooked. In this guide we will show you how you can grill, steam, steam air fry, pressure cook or air fry your salmon.
Then you can pair your salmon with rice. We have photographed a coriander/cilantro lime rice, but you can flavour it however you like. You can choose between steam and pressure cook for your rice in the guide.
Pressure Cooker Broccoli

The first food we ever cooked in the instant pot was broccoli so its nice to see pressure cooked broccoli on the front cover of your time and temp chart. Of course, you can also steam the broccoli if you prefer.
How Does Your Multicooker Cooking Guide Work?
Firstly, you have a magnetic strip that comes separately in your package with your time and temp chart.
After opening it up you will find yourself with the time and temp guide and a magnetic strip. You then peel off the strip and stick it onto the back of your guide and then its fridge friendly.
You can then hang it on your fridge and then flip the chart over to where you want to be, depending on what you’re cooking.
If you don’t have a fridge that you can stick your cooking times chart to, such as if you have a built-in fridge, then it also comes with a section that you can add to a hook in your kitchen.
The Cooking Times Chapters
I previously mentioned what chapters we have, but what can you expect from each of these chapters, that make up your Multicooker Cooking Guide:
Dehydrate – We have a lovely section dedicated to dehydrating food using the multicooker, though this can also work if you have an air fryer with a dehydrate button. We include fruit, herbs, meat and vegetables. Though our personal favourite is using it to make use of the leftover fresh herbs or that rogue onion in the fridge that needs using up.
Grill – The grill feature is one of my favourites and the cheese is my favourite. Think grilled halloumi, grilled cheese etc. Its also very good at foods you would normally grill such as fish, fruit, meat, poultry and of course vegetables.
Steam – Just like how you would use a steamer the steam function works on a multicooker in a similar way. If you wanted to make for example salmon, baby potatoes and veg for lunch then you can. Or chicken breast and some seasonal veg. We also have cooking times for your favourite Chinese dumplings too.
Steam Roast – For those of you with a Ninja 15in1 or similar and want to learn how to steam roast then this is for you. After giving you a quick how to on the setting we dive in with meat, poultry and vegetables. We also include handy temperatures for when you want to use the probe.
Steam Air Fry – We follow on this section with steam air fry. With fish, meat, poultry and vegetables all included. You will love both the poultry and vegetables the most.
Pressure Cook – We have a good varied section in our pressure cook double page. Its perfect for pressure cooker users of the ninja foodi but also suits the instant pot community too. It includes beans and grains, egg, fish, meat, pasta, potatoes, poultry, rice and vegetables.
Air Fry – We then finish with a double air fry section. Perfect for getting to know the air fryer section of your multicooker. This is also practical if you have a separate air fryer and pressure cooker as you can have the best of both worlds.
Is The Multicooker Guide For You?

The multicooker guide covers a wide range of kitchen gadgets, so it’s for you if:
You have an air fryer – you can use the air fry section but if your air fryer also has a grill then you can also use the grill setting. Maybe your air fryer also has dehydrate, then there are 3 main sections that will be so useful to you.
You have an air fryer and an instant pot – Many of our reader have both an instant pot and an air fryer. They bought one and then realised how useful the other was in their kitchen so ended up with both. In which case you have the air fryer, pressure cooker, dehydrate and grill (if your air fryer does it) as well as steaming via the pressure cooker.
You have a Ninja Speedi – This steams and it is also an air fryer. You can do the dehydrate, grill, steam, pressure cook, steam air fry and air fry on this. Then you can use the steam roast cooking times on your steam bake setting.
You have a Ninja Foodi – This depends on the model you have and how many of the bells and whistles it has, but you have the opportunity to use it all. We tested the cooking times with their 9in1 and 15in1.
Also, if you have another brand and it does these kinds of functions, then it would be great for those too.
Order The Multicooker Time & Temp Guide Today!
I will let you in on a behind the scenes problem we had. During the making of our Air Fryer Cooking Guide the sales just went crazy and grew by 500% once word got out that we were making a guide. Everyone realised not just how useful it was to them, but to people they knew too. It then went out of stock for several weeks.
We don’t want that happening to you and for you missing out on this multicooker time and temp guide.
