Okay so I am sure you want to know what’s in it for you and what is so special about this multicooker cookbook, or even what we consider to be a multicooker.

So first let’s talk multicookers. The Instant Pot brand would consider themselves a multicooker because it does more than one thing. But the Instant Pot Duo I wouldn’t consider as a multicooker because its mainly made up of pressure cooker presets. But their more up to date version that is also an air fryer I would. I like to think of a multicooker as a kitchen gadget that does multiple things such as the Ninja Foodi or the Ninja Speedi. The way you can steam or pressure cook, air fry and slow cook all from the same cooking pot.

We have tested this cookbook using the Ninja Foodi 9in1 and Ninja Foodi 15in1, Ninja Speedi, Instant Pot Duo, Instant Pot Crisp, Flexdrawer Air Fryer and other similar models.

125 Deliciously Easy Recipes & Essential Techniques

  • 125+ Recipes – Most cookbooks give you 80-100 recipes and include a lot of personal photos of the author. We cut out on the fluff to bring you as many recipes as we can fit within the 224 pages. My lovely publisher did the final count and there are more than 125 recipes for you to choose from.
  • Super Easy – Just like our other cookbooks we want to make sure the recipes are easy for you to recreate at home. All the recipes in this book I would consider super easy and beginner friendly. Many of which our children helped us create and have been cooking in the multicooker for years.
  • Everyday Recipes – An important factor was everyday recipes. It’s amazing how many of the recipes featured in the cookbook you would want on repeat every day. We have soups, we have stews, we have rice and pasta dishes, we have salads, we have cooking a whole chicken or turkey, we have breaded chicken. There is literally something for everyone. You will love your weekends too thanks to the Friday night popcorn, Saturday night curry and rice, the bacon butties you can make yourself for breakfast on a Sunday, to the roast chicken and sticky toffee pudding for Sunday dinner.
  • Techniques – When you buy a multicooker it’s important that you learn the techniques first. That you understand the process of steaming fish for the first time, making your first steamed pudding, cooking your first vegetables or rice with the pressure cooker, or learning the different ways you can cook a whole chicken.  This is done with step by step photos and in depth information, before you dive into the rest of the chapter. We have step by step techniques for most of the chapters of the cookbook.

15 Reasons Why We Recommend Pre-Ordering The Complete Multicooker Cookbook

Its traditionally published – You’re probably wondering what this means to you and why this is so important. A self-published book is often full of errors because there is often a low budget editing team. Normally the person would type up the recipes, pass it to a family member to skim through and then its off to the printers. There are often quick photos taken along the way and overall, you will notice the difference in the quality. I have read two different self-published Ninja Foodi Cookbooks over the years, and I was shocked by how many typos and grammar errors there was and a general lack of food knowledge. But go traditionally published (like this book is) and you have a team, and your recipes must pass through a lot of people. It starts with you writing them, then the publisher reads them, then the editor, then the editor’s boss and then they go back and forth until they are right. They then need to pass a food stylist cooking the food and making sure they are right, then a proofreader and a fully trained nutritionist for the calories. The process from originally testing the recipes to the nutritionist is approximately four months.

How To – It teaches you how to use your new multicooker not just jumping straight into the recipes. Just like our first 2 cookbooks its all about learning how to use your gadgets. We want you to be confident using them and not just throw you in at the deep end.

Main Functions – It covers all the main functions of the Multicooker. We feature dehydrate, grill, steam, steam roast, proving and steam bread, steam air fry, steam bake, air frying, pressure cooking, slow cooking, yoghurt making, bake and roast. Along with a full chapter dedicated to the wonderful setting of steam meals.

Function Index – This is my favourite part of the cookbook and a bit of behind-the-scenes knowledge, we did this last. I love this bit because it has all the recipes from the book, but with a photo and sorted by function. This is perfect for if you don’t have all the functions so want to see what you can do with your multicooker. Or you just fancy using the air fryer only for dinner and are curious to what you can make.

Everyday Ingredients – Because we have readers from around the world (the UK, USA, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, Europe and Asia to name a few) we are on a mission to make sure the ingredients are everyday ones that anyone can get. No weird foods that you can only get at a health shop or on Amazon. Just everyday foods that we often buy every single week.

Budget Friendly – I don’t want you to break the bank when you are cooking our recipes from our books. Just like we didn’t when we were testing the recipes and buying in ingredients. We use a lot of everyday ingredients that are easy to keep your grocery bill down. Plus, with the recipe tips you can stretch the food even further.

Leftovers – You will also love our recipes using leftovers. With lots of ideas from your leftover roast dinners from your pork with crackling to what we make from our whole chicken leftovers too. You can then top up your freezer and make a much bigger saving on your food shop. Plus, it saves you cooking all the time.

Popular Recipes – We don’t have any weird recipes just recipes you consistently ask us for.  From bacon butties to dehydrating beef to salad jars to pasta bakes to cooking rice to salmon one pot dinners to curry and rice we have it all. But let’s not forget about the many requests we also get for sticky toffee pudding.

Healthy Too – Are you on a diet or maybe you like to watch what you eat? Every recipe in the book includes calorie counts. We also have many recipes that are perfect for a healthy lifestyle too including diet soup, salads, how to cook dried beans and lentils along with steaming fish and veg.

Charts – We have also included time and temps and liquid amounts for various foods throughout the book. On the rice and pasta pages for example, we have the time and temps for other rice and pasta ingredients, in case you fancy switching it up with other ingredients you have in.

Tip Boxes – The tip boxes are also back by popular demand. Where we give you lots more ideas with your recipes so that you can make them work for you. Along with top tips and tricks it will have you thinking outside the box and really planning what you’re going to cook.

Experts – We have been using air fryers since 2012, pressure cooking since 2016, multicooking since 2019 and have had years of practice ourselves using these gadgets before passing on our best knowledge to you.

Metric & Imperial – All our recipes include metric and imperial measurements as well as Celsius and Fahrenheit. We also mention ingredients by their different names where appropriate. For example, double cream also mentions heavy cream and thickened cream which is what it is called in the UK, USA and Australia. The same with foods like peppers, and certain sugars. Below is an example of an ingredients list and how we share metric and imperial.

Photos – We have beautiful photos throughout the book and I have been on the photoshoot of every single one, making sure its perfect for you. We also have key step by step photos for learning techniques with your multicooker.

Variations – I love our plan B that we have had in our first two books and now in this one too. Where we give you ideas of how you can mix up the recipe and turn it into something fresh. These variations are also amazing for taking the boring out of your mealtimes.

The Complete Multicooker Cookbook Chapters

How To – We kickstart our multicooker cookbook for you with our how to chapter. Its loaded with all your FAQ, what accessories we use, how to use the gadgets, the different types of multicooker, and finishes with your recipes by function index.

Breakfast & Brunch – Can I just dedicate the hero of this chapter to bacon butties? The ultimate breakfast/brunch food? Feeling a bit healthier we also have Doms breakfast eggs, baked eggs, homemade yoghurt and granola and homemade baked beans.

Then as you flickthrough you land on the rice chapter that has everything from curry to rice bowls to the perfectly cooked rice. This is the longest chapter in the book, and it won’t disappoint.

Steam Meals – This for those with the Ninja Foodi that use steam meals or the Ninja Speedi and Speedi Meals. You will love the mix of dinners here including a delicious chicken and rice katsu curry.

Bread – Lets make some bread. Using the prove setting with step by step photos to cooking your bread. This is a bread makers dream come true. We also have some quick cheats too.

Sweet Treats – This is where you will find your steamed puddings, apple crumble and other sweet tooth favourites.

FAQ – The Complete Multicooker Cookbook!

  • How many recipes are inside? There are 125 multicooker recipes included in The Complete Multicooker Cookbook. A great starting point for learning how to use your Ninja Foodi, Ninja Speedi, Instant Pot or Air Fryer.
  • What types of recipes are they? Easy, everyday beginner friendly recipes. There is also something for everyone and there is a good mix between the different functions so that it will work for a wide range of multicookers.

Though I know many households have both. Then for the Ninja Foodi or Ninja Speedi user we also have steam air fry, steam bake, steam roast, steam bread, steam meals/speedi meals, and prove.
  • Are your recipes healthy? Whilst we have some amazing comforting meals in this book, we also have plenty of healthy recipes too. This is because the air fryer and the pressure cooker have always had a healthy community. We have plenty of lean poultry, salads, low calorie soups, veggie loaded dinners for you to choose from.
  • What about gluten free? There are many, many, gluten free recipes and many dairy free recipes too. There is also plenty for our vegetarian readers and some vegan recipes too. We are a nut free household so this book is nut free.
  • What about full dinners? Yes, we have lots of full dinners in this book. Slow cooking and pressure cooking is famous for its one pot dinners and this book doesn’t disappoint. You will also love the steam meals chapter which includes lots of stacked meals, where everything is ready at the same time.
  • Are there meals for one? Yes, we have several recipes that are for just one or two people, and recipes that are easy to scale up or scale down depending on how many people you are feeding.

We also have lots of extra cooking times for those that want to dehydrate.

  • Are there recipe photos? Yes, there are plenty of gorgeous recipe photos and we also have plenty of step by step photos too. I hate recipe cookbooks when there are hardly any photos and in some cases none. You don’t have to worry about that, with most recipes featuring beautiful photos.
  • Which multicookers have been used in the recipe testing process? We used our Ninja Speedi, Ninja Foodi 9in1, Ninja Foodi 15in1, Ninja Flexdrawer, Cosori Air Fryer, Instant Pot Duo 6 Quart, Instant Pot Duo 8 Quart and our Instant Pot Duo Crisp.
  • Are the recipes imperial or metric? The recipes are both metric and imperial. If we did a book for each, then that would mean that in Canada they would have to share imperial with the US and this way you have the choice of both.
  • How much did you cook for this cookbook? No idea, I just know that I cooked every day for full days for a few months. Plus, we were always running several multicookers at the same time. Then we also had recipe testers also testing it and then during the photo shoot for the cookbook photos, then recipes will be tested again during the process. I do know that we have gone through a lot of salt and pepper and when you think most recipes call for it, then you know a lot of food has been made!
  • What happened to all the food you cooked? We ate some. The kids ate some. The recipe testers ate some. My best friend didn’t have to cook dinner for her family for a good month and probably filled her freezer too. We also repurposed some into new recipes for our next course that is included to those that pre-order. We also ended up with several filled cupboards so didn’t need to buy any seasonings for six months.

A HUGE Thank You!

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for following Kitchen Gadget Club, printing our recipes, being part of the community and its down to YOU that we are here today celebrating the pre-orders of The Complete Multicooker Cookbook.

You have been asking us for years for a Multicooker book and we are so pleased to show off our hard work and this amazing book we have made just for you.

We would be over the moon if you could pre-order a copy and help us with our pre-orders. But why should you do that you may wonder?

It supports the authors – the more pre-orders the bigger the chance of us walking into a shop or supermarket and seeing our books on the shelves. It has this amazing power of kickstarting the sales.

You pay the best price – It’s traditional for books to be on a special deal at some point during the pre-order sales. What you pay is the lowest price its at during pre-orders. So if it originally starts at £22, it will often reduce by 20% and sometimes all the way down to 50% off. This means that if you pre-order and its £22 and then it drops by 40% then you will get £8.80 off.

You only pay on publication – Whilst its common for authors to get the ball rolling and start prep-orders 3 months ahead of when it comes out, you don’t pay a penny or a cent until it actually gets shipped for delivery. So pre-order in November for a book out in March and you won’t pay until March.

We have a giveaway for that – We are running several giveaways during the pre-order process and you have the chance of winning them. We also are offering you the chance to try some of the recipes before the book is out. All these little extras that you only get if you pre order – though make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter so that you will get an email to enter the giveaway and download the extras.
